Creative Writing Exercises

Writing at Gunpoint — For the reluctant blogger in all of us, this site has excellent tips. You’ll also find writing exercises posted here every Monday.

Memoir, Writing & Life — Annette has a number of exercises to get the creative juices flowing. Here’s one to start and I encourage you to keep reading.

Personal Essay

Wordsxo — Julia posted the loveliest essay about mushrooms… but it’s about so much more. Brought tears to my eyes.

Two Hands and a Roadmap — You just have to read Tara’s writing for her out-loud voice. I adore it. Every post.

The Billiegram — Here’s another voice that’s clear as a bell. This post about learning American Sign Language is priceless, but so many others merit a look, too.

Happy reading!
