Lessons in the Art of Translation will not only improve your translations, but it will make you think outside of the box and learn a lot about yourself through translation. Stacy is a great professor! This is my second time working with her, and I loved it. Her feedback is always helpful, and she pays close attention to what you’re doing. She ask the right questions to helpful figure out what’s great, what’s wrong, and what could improve on your own. I can’t stress enough how important it is for translators to experience this course if they want to improve their work.

David Areyzaga

I was very motivated to translate well in Lessons in the Art of Translation, given I would receive immediate feedback; which was always constructive, critical, and positive! I appreciated being able to work at my own pace. The suggestions shared by peers in the class was fun and helpful; especially references to authors, podcasts, movies, and books that were relevant to that week’s text – very fun!

What I most wanted was a boost to my motivation, and what could be more motivating than learning about Lisa’s experience, persistence and achievements, and engaging in some nitty-gritty exercises?

Lisa is very generous with her time and in sharing her personal experience with her students. She is an excellent teacher.

I found all of the course content very clear, detailed and beautifully presented.

The material presented was very useful, and the presenter was very knowledgeable and approachable. I definitely feel as if I have made a friend in the literary translation field in Lisa!

Really felt like a welcoming, supportive, collaborative environment.
