The American Translators Association (ATA) conference is only just about to get underway, and here I am already talking about the American Literary Translators Association (ALTA) conference. That’s because they’re back-to-back, in neighboring cities.

ALTA begins in Milwaukee next week, running from the evening of November 12th through the 15th. Three non-stop days of all things literary translation. Wahoo!

The whole schedule looks amazing. I’m pleased to be part of two sessions and would love to see you at one, or both:

Choices: A Collaborative Translation Workshop (Spanish>English) on Friday, November 15 at 2 pm. I’m co-moderating and mentoring along with Nan Hussey, Sandra Kingery and Pamela Carmell.

Taking the Initiative: How to Get Involved, Get Results, And Make Friends Along the Way on Friday, November 15 at 3:45 pm. I’ll be on a panel with Allison Charette, Erica Mena, Esther Allen, Susan Bernofsky and Olivia Sears.

Let me know if you’re attending as I’d love to meet!
